HO4 Insurance is more commonly known as
Renters Insurance. Renters insurance is important for the very same reason why homeowners insurance is important. Renters insurance will cover damages or losses to your personal belongings and protect you from any liability if anyone is injuried while in your condo or home. Note that a big difference between renters insurance and homeowners insurance is that the physical building is not covered.
What does HO-4 insurance NOT cover?
HO-4 insurance typically does not cover natural disasters, pests and expensive/rare items. Insurance companies typically offer options for renters if they wish to add any of the coverages through additional riders.
